I've been invited to serve in Belize as an Elementary Education Teacher Trainer from August 19, 2009-October 21, 2011 through the Peace Corps. This blog exists as a personal account and in NO way represents the Peace Corps, the US government, or the government of Belize.
How neat AMY! I had the kids draw you pictures of their favorite things to do, for the pen pals. I think the concept was slightly over their heads, but I am sure you will still enjoy them or so I hope. The letter you got up there is funny how cute kids can be! Love you-Jenna
ReplyDeleteYou are aware that that penpal letter example has three negatives in one sentence, "I don't not have no cat" also this girl talks about her cat shitting everywhere etc. Perhaps this was a poor sample to put up.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you. I teach at my church and was looking for examples to use for our vacation Bible school this year. With the profanity and the child pointing out that they killed their cat, I surely won't be sharing this letter with my classes.
Deletei am not able to read
ReplyDeleteThank you dear! because, I find a letter write to a pen pal.but I couldn't find it.but this letter is best.you know for what, I find this letter? I think you don't know.because my English teacher told us "WRITE A LETTER TO A PEN PAL". THEREFORE I THANK YOU VERY MUCH>>>>>>>
ReplyDeletecould you pls write more but very nice hard to read though
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI am a teacher from Singapore and I would love to have my pupils write to a group of pupils in another school. It's for the purpose of getting them to improve their langauge, to have confidence in communicationg with others and best of all, knowing what it is like living life on the other side of the world. Drop me an email (mysoulisahiddenorchestra@gmail.com) if you're interested.
